Open Systems International, Inc. has been awarded a contract by Connexus Energy of Minnesota for a new, modern Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.
Since 1937, Connexus Energy has provided electricity and related products and services to the North Metropolitan areas of the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Today, Connexus Energy is the largest electric distribution cooperatives in the state, serving the energy needs of customers in seven counties.
Connexus is committed to maintaining a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. The increased automation and reliability of OSI’s state-of-the-art SCADA system will make certain Connexus continues to supply fast and effective service to all customers.
The installation of OSI’s Monarch system will aid Connexus in its pursuit of enhanced control, scheduling and optimization for its growing complex network operations.
The proposed system includes Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Web-based Graphical User Interface, Historical Information and Archiving System, Trending and Calculation subsystem, Open Database Connectivity, Switch Order Management, System Mapping, Historical Recording, as well as ICCP communications.
