DTE Energy has selected Trintech Group's AssureNET software for financial process compliance. AssureNET is a component of Trintech's Unity platform, a suite of modular software that enables companies to meet their financial governance, risk management and compliance goals.

DTE Energy is a Detroit-based diversified energy company involved in the development and management of energy-related businesses and services nationwide. Its operating units include Detroit Edison, an electric utility serving 2.2 million customers in Southeastern Michigan, MichCon, a natural gas utility serving 1.2 million customers in Michigan and other non-utility, energy businesses.

Through a suite of software modules, Trintech's Unity platform enables companies like DTE Energy to increase the accuracy and transparency of financial reporting, reduce operational costs, shorten cycle times and reduce the risk of material weaknesses and restatements.

Trintech's AssureNET module automates account certification, managing the review, approval and certification of all account reconciliations for a company's accounting close process. AssureNET distributes and tracks progress on all tasks necessary for certification, automates reconciliation of GL accounts, enforces control structures, and facilitates creation of compliance documentation.
