NetMotion Wireless has announced the immediate availability of Mobility XE version 6.60. The new version incorporates FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic modules from F-Secure Corporation, and provides stronger encryption options, benefiting customers with requirements for FIPS 140-2 validated encryption products.

The Mobility product has supported 128-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) since 2001. Mobility XE version 6.60 adds support for 192-bit and 256-bit AES strengths. The corresponding ECDH (Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman) curves sizes have also been increased as recommended by NIST in FIPS PUB 186-2, "Digital Signature Standard."

Server software incorporating the FIPS 140-2 validated libraries and increased encryption and key strength is supported on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 Server operating systems. Client software is supported on Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Mobile 4.2 (ARM), including Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs.
