eMeter SmartStart Software Sets up Consumer Engagement Quickly

eMeter Corp. has debuted SmartStart, a streamlined offering to get utilities’ meter-to-cash and consumer engagement functions up and running in as little as 12 weeks. Building on best practices that ensure quick results, eMeter SmartStart provides accelerated implementation of pre-configured versions of eMeter’s EnergyIP meter data management (MDM) system and Energy Engage consumer engagement software. SmartStart provides utilities with a rapid, affordable way to validate their investment in AMI (advanced metering infrastructure) and more quickly realize the benefits of the Smart Grid including operational efficiencies, customer responsiveness and consumer engagement for demand management.

With SmartStart, utilities can successfully implement eMeter solutions within 12 weeks and have access to a fully integrated and operational system for user acceptance testing in as little as six to eight weeks. Furthermore, the flexible architecture of the eMeter platform allows utilities to seamlessly add capabilities, scale performance, and integrate the latest technologies to capitalize on new business opportunities and respond to regulatory change.

Available as a hosted or on-premise solution, SmartStart provides utilities with an extensive set of advanced meter-to-cash features including real-time data validation estimation and editing (VEE), time-of-use billing support, and real-time synchronization of AMI and utility information systems. Beyond meter-to-cash, the SmartStart offering includes Energy Engage to present consumers with detailed views of their hourly energy usage and cost-to-date, which enables conservation, demand management and enhances the relationship utilities have with their customers. To complete the offering, the eMeter provides 24/7 support to make certain that EnergyIP and Energy Engage operate successfully and deliver results.
