GE Energy Certified to Resell Field Computing Software Applications to Utilities

To further complement GE’s utility office suite applications, GE Energy has announced that the company was recently certified as a reseller for MapFrame field computing applications.

Under the terms of the agreement, GE Energy will be able to resell MapFrame’s portfolio of FieldSmart field computing applications globally. The FieldSmart technology is a combination of mobile mapping and field automation software, which delivers up-to-date data to field and office users.
MapFrame’s products have been serving GE customers for years and with this agreement, GE will enhance its Office Suite products by leveraging MapFrame technology.

MapFrame Corporation develops mobile mapping technology and field automation processes for electric, gas and water utilities, pipeline, telecom, cable TV and broadband organizations.

GE Energy’s transmission and distribution business has a comprehensive portfolio of products and services that enable intelligent grid processes, which help decision makers drive greater productivity and profitability.
