Oracle Releases Self-Service E-Billing 6.0

Oracle has released the next Oracle Self-Service E-Billing, enabling organizations to transform customer relationships, improve profitability, increase customer loyalty, and reduce their carbon foot print by providing electronic alternatives to paper bills. The program offers  improvements in security features, single sign-on integration, usability, consolidated billing, and flexible hierarchy, reporting, and analytics capabilities.

The billing process in most organizations is predominantly a paper-based process that provides limited value to the customer and often carries significant costs. Oracle Self-Service E-Billing helps reduce billing costs, as well as the costs typically required to support billing processes. Organizations can take advantage of the account and cost center-based reporting, including budget, spend, and usage analysis within the application.

Oracle Self-Service E-Billing helps lower print and payment processing costs and eliminates postage costs, and can accelerate collections with online bill payment and presentment. With the advanced-billing and reporting functionality, users can create historical and trend reports across billing periods with versioned hierarchy capabilities, and conduct "what-if" analysis with fast, real-time updates that can be distributed throughout an organization. Oracle Self-Service E-Billing can be implemented independent of pre-existing systems, and enables organizations to realize dramatic savings and improved customer relationships and loyalty through a variety of improved and new capabilities including:

  • Integrated business-to-business online bill payment and presentment  processing with hierarchy management tools and in-depth billing data  analysis capabilities.
  • Out-of-the-box support for individual consumer, family-plan and complex  business-to-business statements handling any number of service types,  from summaries to detailed transactions.
  • Split-billing, utilizing personal and corporate address books, dispute  capture and transaction annotation.
  • Integrated Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processing utilizing  Oracle Warehouse Builder and Oracle Workflow Manager to handle the  import of periodic statement data from any type and any number of  billing systems;.
  • Enhanced application internationalization and localization features,  including native support for Unicode UTF-8 character sets from the  database to the user interface.
  • Updated user interface design that is easy-to-use out-of-the-box or  easy-to-customize to meet the most demanding corporate identity  look-and-feel and design.
  • Extended application support to include Oracle Application Server on  Linux. Oracle Application Server is a key component of Oracle Fusion  Middleware.
