CPT Protects Distribution With VAMP Relays

Vaasa Electronics Ltd. (Vaasa, Finland) delivered 280 protection relays to Chungva Picture Tubes (CPT; Taiwan). The project is the biggest delivery of Vaasa Electronics to date and an example of the confidence that the buyer has in Vaasa Electronics and its Taiwanese distributor, Baufarm.

The delivery is an important reference for VAMP relays and includes several relay types with special features. All relays communicate to a control center using RS 485 technology. Current-guarded light-sensitive sensors connected to the relays provide added security against electrical arc faults. Vaasa Electronics is the only supplier of protection class relays with this feature.

The record short-time delivery of four weeks from order was a major accomplishment for VAASA Electronics.
