KEMA Provides Consulting Services to Thailand
KEMA Consulting, Fairfax, Virginia, U.S., in association with Proen, a local subcontractor, was chosen by the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) of Thailand to provide consulting services associated with the second phase, implementation and construction supervision of the PEA Distribution Dispatching Center.
The KEMA team is providing project management and is supervising all aspects of the evolving project. This project includes construction of dispatching centers and installation of distribution management systems, substation and feeder remote terminal units and interfaces and extensive communication systems.
Since the project's inception in 1996, KEMA Consulting has taken an active role in the PEA Distribution Dispatching Center project. KEMA Consulting was selected through competitive bidding from a list of leading international firms for the first phase, which was completed in early 2000.
