Network Protection and Automation Guide
Alstom Grid has launched an updated version of its well-respected Network Protection and Automation Guide (NPAG), a comprehensive 500-page technical reference textbook that offers protection engineers and technicians the latest information and advice on protective relays, measurement and control.
Additional chapters include guidance on system integrity protection and remedial action schemes, phasor measurements and wide-area schemes. New information is also available in the guide on digital substations, including IEC 61850, Ethernet station bus and precision time synchronizing, reflecting new developments and advances in technology.
The book also serves as key reference for the international delegates at ALSTOM's Annual Application and Protection of Power Systems (APPS) training courses, which Alstom Grid has been running for more than 50 years. The APPS courses are also regularly updated along with the textbook, ensuring attendees receive the latest and most up-to-date guidance on the topic.
