Handheld Vibration Spectrum Analyzer

Datastick Systems' VSA-1225 Vibration Spectrum Analyzer is the company's first product on the Windows Mobile/Pocket PC platform. The VSA-1225 PDA-based vibration analyzer/data collector, which includes new version 1.8 of the Datastick Spectrum software suite, joins Datastick's line of Palm-based VSAs.

The VSA-1225's hardware module attaches firmly to a Hewlett-Packard iPAQ hx2400-series or hx2700-series handheld. The iPAQ supplies the computing power and 128 MB of data storage, while the Datastick VSA hardware module supplies the sensor power, Datastick electronics and interface. Secure digital memory cards — up to 2 GB each — provide virtually unlimited auxiliary storage. The module has a standard BNC connector and a very low-noise input that accommodates and powers almost any ICP-type piezoelectric accelerometer or ICP-type velocity sensor. Vibration data is transferred to the PC by copying the data directly from the secure digital card.

Cooper Power Systems has introduced the Cybectec SMP I/O. The SMP I/O, which effectively completes the Cybectec SMP product line of substation solutions, is a distributed, substation-hardened, contact input/output processing unit. The SMP I/O offers significant savings for utility plants and facilities by reducing the amount of wiring required as well as configuration and commissioning time.

The SMP I/O can be installed closer to power equipment, which saves on cabling costs while offering remote upgrading capabilities. Designed to install directly into 19-inch (48-cm) relay racks, the SMP I/O is easily field-upgradeable and supports the industry's standard DNP3 communication protocol.

Logic Controller

Rugged and reliable, the SMP I/O supports the simultaneous operation of up to 18 outputs and includes built-in input redundancy.

Ideal for right-of-way maintenance, fecon's BHP350 Power Pack offers peak grinding power by maintaining virtually constant horse power to the grinding head. It is controlled by the Fecon Power Management microcontroller, which directs all available power to the mulcher.

Smart Metering

The microcontroller manages engine and hydraulic performance in real time. A control panel inside the excavator's cab allows the operator to monitor operation and see that the mulcher is getting maximum horsepower at all times. Reduced fuel consumption and improved engine power are additional benefits offered by the machine.
