Excellence in Power Distribution Engineering Award

Each year, IEEE presents an award to one of its many outstanding distribution engineers. Past recipients have come from all parts of the industry, including utilities, manufacturers and consultants, from all parts of the world. This year's recipient, Dave Smith, has been in the business for 40 years and is best known for his work on secondary network design and analysis, as well as distribution transformer applications and analysis. IEEE is looking for candidates for the 2005 award and encourages readers to nominate a deserving engineer. This engineer could be an individual contributor within your company or could be an internationally recognized expert. To obtain a nomination form, contact Jim Burke at distjimb@aol.com.
