Ugly Poles Create Buzz

Burns & McDonnell (Kansas City, Missouri, U.S.) is announcing an ugly pole contest. This engineering and construction firm with a long history in the T&D industry believes it's time to have some fun with ugly poles while raising awareness of underground T&D.

“Our ugly pole competition is a way for us to have some fun while promoting the fact that underground transmission has become a more viable alternative for the power-delivery industry,” said Gary Pence, vice president of Burns & McDonnell.
