A Changing of the Guard at Transmission & Distribution World
After more than 16 years with T&D World and 36 years in publishing and media, Barry LeCerf has moved on to new ventures. LeCerf is known as a visionary and a driving force in the industry and within PRIMEDIA Business Magazines & Media. He has been instrumental in the creation and development of numerous publications, industry trade shows and events.
“Barry LeCerf was uncompromising when it came to the quality of the editorial product,” states Rick Bush, editor in chief. “He invested the time to really understand the issues, which helped focus T&D World to meet the needs of its readers.”
“The editorial staff of T&D World will never forget the role Barry played in the crafting and building up of the T&D enterprise,” adds Bush. “But even more, we appreciate that Barry not only believed in the power of the individual to make a difference, he also supported the T&D World team to develop products that would make a difference in the world of transmission and distribution.”
LeCerf is succeeded in his post by Dennis Triola, a 30-year industry veteran and publisher of Broadcast Engineering and Radio magazines.
Triola began his publishing career with PRIMEDIA Business (formerly Intertec Publishing) immediately after graduating from the University of Missouri in 1974. He spent his early career with the company in ad sales and left to cofound a highly successful broadcast industry publication, returning to PRIMEDIA Business in 1993 as a publisher.
Says Triola, “Barry is obviously a hard act to follow. He's built a great team and a great franchise for this industry. We'll build on that vision, continuing to serve T&D World's readers and advertisers with new and innovative ways to provide information in the marketplace and bring buyers and sellers together.”
