International Lineman's Rodeo Senior Division Winner Shares His Thoughts

I have been associated with the Lineman's Rodeo for several years, along with my rodeo team. Larry Hall and I have competed together on the same team with different climbing teammates for several years. Dan Fuller also has competed for several years.

We came together this year because we all wanted to compete in the Senior Division. It's been five years since some of us competed last, and we are all members of management now. Placing fourth overall in the Senior Division was an exciting accomplishment for us, because we no longer do this work on a daily basis.

I had experienced winning it all in 1991 in St. Louis, but I was a young journeyman and really didn't know what an accomplishment it was at the time. Now, this means so much more as it came in the twilight of our careers. Thanks to all who put together the rodeo each year. It means so much for the people in the trade.
