After days of work and thousands of power restorations in the Monroe and West Monroe, Louisiana, area, Oncor employees were continuing to help the citizens of Louisiana recover from the devastation left by Hurricane Isaac. Oncor employees were working in the Greater New Orleans region as of Sept. 3, where the Associated Press was reporting about 240,000 people are in the dark.

"Now that our employees have completed restoration efforts in Northeast Louisiana, we will continue to assist Entergy near the gulf coast. Our employees are committed to lending their expertise to complete the restoration in Louisiana. We are proud of the dedication our employees have in helping others in their great time of need - even during this extended Labor Day weekend," Oncor Chief Operating Officer Jim Greer said.

The 100 Oncor employees in the state were working from sunup to sundown until their help was no longer needed.
