Stray Voltage Warning System
The Electrified Cover Safeguard™ is a non-site, real-time stray voltage warning system warns utility workers of a potential electrocution hazard if a manhole, utility box, utility pole or street light becomes energized. The device, which also protects the public and pets, produces a visual and/or audible warning signal and is designed to be incorporated into utility poles, luminaires, manhole covers, casements and utility boxes. Utilities can also retrofit applications with auxiliary Electrified Cover Safeguard units. In addition, utilities can set up the warning system so that it will indicate which manhole, utility pole has become electrified.
