PPL Electric Utilities has awarded M. J. Electric the Harwood Jenkins MOLBAB & Eldred to Cleveland MOLBAB projects. Construction involves upgrade and retrofit air break switches, installation and testing the new Cleveland Price motor operated switches to include removal of old poles, installation of new steel poles, installation of a new switch, and installation of any required distribution or PTs.
In addition, construction will include the retrofit existing Turner switches with motor operators where switches already exist, installation of lightning arrestors on all structures, and installation of insulators and bird guarding on 69-kV transmission lines. The projects will be completed mid-spring 2015.
