Planned Power Outage to Upgrade Electrical System in the Kingston, Ontario area
Hydro One took a planned power interruption Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 to undertake work to improve service and power reliability in the Kingston, Ontario, Canada area. The planned power outage allowed for the installation of new switching equipment and other upgrades, and also permited concurrent upgrade work to take place in Hydro One's Butternut Power Distribution Station and the Frontenac Transmission Station.
"We are investing approximately $100,000 in equipment upgrades and improvements in the Kingston area to improve power reliability in this fast-growing community," said Clark Masterson, Hydro One Eastern District Superintendent. "We appreciate our customers' patience as we undertake this important work for our customers in the Kingston area."
