Waterford Substation Construction Underway in Connecticut
CL&P is constructing a new 115- kV/27-kV bulk power substation in Waterford, Connecticut. This substation will supply the growing load in the town of Waterford and will increase the reliability of the local electrical supply in the area.
The Connecticut Siting Council approved the project in November 2008 and approved the Development and Management plan in February 2009. Construction started in March this year and civil work is in progress at this time. The facility is expected to be completed and in service in mid-2010.Want to use this article?
