AREVA has signed a strategic partnership with Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co. Ltd. (Times Electric). Under the agreement, AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution Division (T&D) will bring its expertise in the HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) & FACTS (Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems) areas, while Times Electric will provide its thyristor technology. Both parties will collaborate for identified projects and pre-selected businesses in China and external markets. They also plan to cooperate in research and development for power semiconductor devices for High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) & FACTS markets.

Our cooperation with AREVA in China together with the collaboration through our subsidiary Dynex Semiconductors Co. Ltd. overseas will accelerate Times Electric’s business development in the China and international markets.”
