M.J. Electric Awarded Construction Contract With American Transmission Company
InfraSource Services, Inc., one of the largest specialty contractors servicing electric, natural gas and telecommunications infrastructure in the United States, announced today that M.J. Electric LLC (M.J. Electric), an InfraSource company, has been selected to provide construction services for electric transmission line and substation projects for American Transmission Company (ATC) in northeastern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Under a three-year alliance agreement, M.J. Electric will provide all construction resources, including labor, equipment and project management, to ATC for its northern portfolio of construction projects. While ATC's 10-year plan calls for nearly $3 billion in total construction and maintenance activities for electric reliability, ATC estimates its investment in the northern portfolio to be $500 million over the next 10 years. InfraSource estimates that the three-year alliance will yield revenues of approximately $100 million.
"We are extremely pleased with our continuing relationship with ATC and this alliance agreement with M.J. Electric for future projects," said David Helwig, Chairman and CEO of InfraSource.
