NPPD Board Approves Contracts for Electric Capital Projects
At its July 14-15, 2011 meeting, The Nebraska Public Power District Board of Directors approved the new NPPD Strategic Plan, as well as several electric capital project contracts including:
- Capital project for pole replacement at Cooper Nuclear Station and Gerald Gentleman Station for $1,155,963;
- Contract for 227 tubular steel poles for the Axtell to Kansas Transmission Line Project, awarded to Sabre Tubular Structures, a division of Sabre Communications Corp., for an estimated base bid price of $15,124,860.03.; and
- A contract for 18 control panels at Sheldon Station, awarded to Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc., for a firm base bid price of $418,560.
