TRC Awarded Contract to Support Expansion of Maine’s Transmission System

TRC Companies, Inc. has been awarded an $11.4 million contract by Central Maine Power (CMP) to provide engineering, design and procurement services associated with the modification and expansion of five existing substations. The project is part of CMP’s Maine Power Reliability Program (MPRP) to modernize the State’s transmission system.

“TRC is proud to be a part of CMP’s Maine Power Reliability Program,” said Chris Vincze, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “We are dedicated to supporting clients that expand and upgrade the nation’s vital energy facilities and infrastructure to ensure the continued reliability of our power systems and support the incorporation of renewable resources into the power mix.”

Under the contract, TRC will deliver detailed designs for the expansion of the five substations, both 345 kV and 115 kV in size. TRC will also manage the procurement of materials associated with design and construction and will provide overall project management services.
