Large Aerial Device for Transmission Work
TEREX Utilities' TM-167 aerial device was designed and built specifically for the transmission industry.
The telescopic boom with an articulating final stage can reach a height of 167 ft with a side reach of 83 ft. The total capacity is up to 1000 lb in its 180-degree rotating platform. The platform is automatically leveled with a leveling system and includes joystick controls that feature video screens detailing the status of all aspects of the control system, including a wind-speed indicator.
The TM-167 features a variable displacement, load-sensing hydraulic system
and offers continuous rotation. Other features include upper and lower controls
with lower control override, internal guide and track system for hydraulic
hoses and cables.
