AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution division has officially launched the F35 170-kV, 50-kA gas-insulated substation, its latest product from the GIS range.

This new product complements the company’s GIS range. AREVA states it is the most compact GIS on the 170-kV market, modern and complying to the latest standards. This new product is eco-designed and produced with more than 90% recyclable materials.

In order to cover the global booming demand, all the AREVA gas-insulated substations are developed in dedicated factories in France, Switzerland, China, and India. The GIS product range is the most complete and compact one on the worldwide market, covering all voltage levels from 72.5 to 550 kV.
