New Tiered-Outboard Mounting Configuration for Scada-Mate CX Switches

Find more articles about SCADA.

S&C announces the availability of a new mounting configuration for Scada-Mate CX Switching Systems: a tiered-outboard mounting configuration. This new configuration enhances the versatility of Scada-Mate CX Switches, enabling it to meet even more application requirements.

Scada-Mate CX Switches are three-pole, group-operated interrupter switches specifically designed to meet the increased need for reliable service — in a lightweight and compact package. Scada-Mate CX Switches are rated 900 amperes continuous and are offered in voltage ratings of 14.4 kV and 25 kV. They feature a five-time duty-cycle fault-closing rating of 20,000 A RMS asymmetrical. Interrupter position is clearly visible on the open/closed indicator on the side of the switch.

With Scada-Mate CX Switches you only need to purchase the features required today . . . you can easily upgrade tomorrow. Switches can be furnished with factory-installed three-phase S&C Current Sensors, or with three-phase S&C Current/Voltage Sensors on one side of the switch. Alternately, S&C sensors or sensors of other manufacture can be added later. An S&C control unit for or control unit of other manufacture can be added at any time, making the switch ideal for source transfer or remote supervisory control.
