After the Los Angeles Department of Power and Water restored power to almost 14,000 customers who lost power during the night, continued high winds knocked out power to an additional 5,000 LADWP customers this morning. Forty-three crews are working in the field and have restored power to 4000 more customers since our 6:30 a.m. report.

As of 11 a.m., 6,000 customers continued to be affected by power outages. Outages are concentrated in the areas of Hollywood, Sawtelle, and Westlake neighborhoods. Crews are also working to repair localized neighborhood outages in Mid-City, Westwood, Rancho Park and Cheviot Hills. Smaller outages affecting between 1 and 100 customers are also reported in South Los Angeles, Mid-City, Echo Park, Westwood and Cheviot Hills, with .

Since fierce wind conditions began last night, crews have restored power to over 18,000 customers of LADWP's 1.4 million electric customers within the City of Los Angeles. Crews will continue working throughout the day to restore power as quickly and safely as possible
