First Choice Power Launches 'QuickPay' Options for Prepaid Customers

First Choice Power has launched new payment options for its prepaid energy customers. Those enrolled on a prepaid plan can now pay by smart phone through the company's new First Choice QuickPay service, an easy-to-use mobile site. First Choice Power is the only energy provider to offer a smart phone payment option for prepaid customers.

"We listened to our customers and many of them told us easy online and mobile payment options would make their prepaid plans even more convenient," said Brian Hayduk, president of First Choice Power. "We've gotten great feedback from our prepaid customers, and we are continuing to put them first by improving the ease and efficiency of managing their accounts."

Customers can log on to FirstChoicePower.com/quickpay from their computers or smart phones (iPhone, Android or BlackBerry), enter their customer information and add funds to their account. First Choice QuickPay allows customers to:

  • View account balance
  • View last payment date
  • Calculate payment and estimate days of service left

Customers using First Choice QuickPay will still receive their daily or weekly e-mails or text messages with their account balance and estimated days remaining.

"I love the fact that you can calculate your days of electricity before making the payment, how great is that?" said Belinda Lopez, a First Choice Power prepaid customer in Mesquite, Texas. "I will definitely use it more often in the future."

First Choice Power was the first retail energy provider in Texas to offer a prepaid energy plan via smart meter. Customers who enroll in the plan benefit from no deposit, no contract and no additional fees. Prepaid energy is made possible by the smart meter technology that provides energy companies customers' usage in real time. To enroll in prepaid, visit FirstChoicePower.com/prepaid.
