ABB Completes Acquisition of Obvient
ABB has completed the acquisition of privately owned business intelligence specialist software provider Obvient Strategies Inc., adding Obvient's solutions to its recently acquired Ventyx software portfolio.
Obvient offers business intelligence software that collects, analyzes and reports critical real-time as well as periodic information. By compiling the power transmission and distribution sector's best business practices into prepackaged solutions, the company's solutions support decision-making and optimize operations for industries and utilities with geographically dispersed assets. As a result, this transaction further enhances ABB's Ventyx software offering for asset management, power distribution automation and smart grid applications.
