Telvent Partners with Esri CIS to Expand Smart Grid Solutions in Russia

Telvent has partnered with Esri CIS in Russia to provide smart grid solutions for the country’s energy industry. Under this new partnership, Esri CIS’ 3,000 clients will have access to Telvent solutions to support their transition to a smart grid and provide a more reliable and efficient infrastructure network.

Esri clients will harness the power of Telvent’s ArcFM Enterprise GIS tool, an extension of Esri’s ArcGIS platform. With ArcFM, customers will have a graphical, data-rich display of real-time happenings on the electrical grid, allowing them to respond more quickly and efficiently to outages and maintenance issues. Customers will also have a more informed understanding of critical functions such as dispatching, planning, reporting, and analysis. This will serve as the foundation for an intelligent network infrastructure that improves efficiencies, increases safety and enables smarter business decisions.

According to Telvent's chairman and CEO, Ignacio Gonzalez, “Russia is one of the world’s leaders in producing electric power and this partnership with Esri CIS will help companies in the region modernize their current technology while realizing greater cost savings and power efficiency.”
