Semaphore, a CSE Global company, has released new Ethernet communications options for the Kingfisher Plus+ RTU product line.

Communication option T3 is a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet module with an RJ45 connector, while communication option A3 is an Ethernet MTRJ 100 Mbps fiber-optic interface. Both options are plug-in compatible with Kingfisher Plus+ CPU and communication modules, as well as the LP-2 and LP-3 low-power RTU products.

The Kingfisher RTU series is based on an advanced automation-technology platform for SCADA system applications. The RTU line features an embedded programming environment that is compliant with IEC 61131-3 and 61499, as well as an enhanced DNP3 protocol suite, security platform, complete array of communications networks and advanced functionality including redundancy. Kingfisher Plus+ is a modular RTU that offers expansion up to 192 communications ports and 1024 I/O points.
