Colorado Springs Utilities Implements Meter Data Management
Colorado Springs Utilities has selected a meter data management system to further enhance its local distribution network of more than 535,000 electric, gas and water endpoints for approximately 310,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. Implementation of the system expands the operational capabilities and benefits of Springs Utilities’ Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system.
Ecologic MDMS will support Springs Utilities in enhancing the information available for electric, gas and water customers within Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. It also builds on the smart grid and conservation initiatives already underway at Springs Utilities – including enabling customer energy management and distributed and renewable generation.
