Simply Energy, an Australian provider of electricity, gas and green energy, has selected Hara Environmental and Energy Management (EEM). Simply Energy will leverage Hara EEM to establish a comprehensive environmental and energy system of record, drive efficiencies through enhanced energy and resource cost and consumption forecasting and automate its regulatory reporting processes

The new solution will replace time-consuming, manual reporting processes and consolidate Simply Energy’s sustainability and energy data into a single platform. The system will aggregate information from relevant data sources and provide an overall view of the company’s resource consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impact. The deployment will also meet reporting needs across multiple schemes including the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER), the Renewable Energy Target (RET) and local Australian state energy efficiency legislation such as the Residential Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES) and the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (VEET).

As one of Australia’s leading energy retailers, Simply Energy operates in Victoria and South Australia and provides energy to over 300,000 customers. Simply Energy aims to do things differently and simplify energy for customers.

Deployed in over 90 countries, Hara EEM is designed to manage and optimize energy, resources and emissions as an enterprise-wide, end-to-end “report to reduce” business process. The company works with leading companies and government organizations to establish an environmental and energy record, identify and prioritize reduction projects and leverage best practices across stakeholders.
