Open Systems International, Inc. has launched Spectra OMS, a next-generation Distribution Outage Management System with advanced Big Data architecture, user interface and customer communications capabilities.
Outage Management is an increasingly critical part of the distribution utility system operations. The advanced outage analysis module of Spectra OMS enables it to handle very large networks during storms using an innovative parallel processing approach. In addition, Spectra OMS provides integrated business intelligence and reporting capabilities including tracking reliability indices such as SAIDI, SAIFI and CAIDI, as well as efficient standards based integration capability with many other utility systems such as GIS, CIS, IVR and AMI. The Spectra OMS solution has been deployed in the field with great user acceptance.
Spectra OMS can be used standalone or integrated with OSI’s Distribution Management System (Spectra DMS™) to provide an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) platform. The OSI Spectra™ suite of products support cloud architecture and can be implemented as hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) or staged solutions.
