Doble Engineering Co. has officially recorded results from more than 1 million apparatus tests, consisting of over 28 million individual data points. Stored in the Doble Database for the benefit of the power industry, this resource of comparative and historic data gives Doble clients access to the action-oriented analytics necessary to make critical and cost-effective asset management decisions.

Doble's database system now includes tests performed on more than 100,000 transformers, 100,000 circuit breakers and includes over 700,000 bushings as well as details on over 1,400,000 laboratory oil tests.

The technological cornerstone to Doble's Database is an artificial intelligence engine known as FRANK. Named after the company's founder, Frank Doble, and short for First Response Analytics Knowledgebase, FRANK pulls relevant information from the database to provide robust evaluation and statistical analysis with explanations and recommendations.

Clients access this technology through the Doble Test Assistant (DTA) software suites and Doble's Asset Risk Management System (dobleARMS). Through DTA, clients can analyze data from a single apparatus or compare entire asset populations while dobleARMS leverages FRANKS's scoring to calculate overall apparatus risk in real time for a big-picture view.
