RSS Installs 80-MVA Temporary Power in Oman
Rental Solutions & Services (RSS) has installed 80 MVA of rental power in the Sultanate of Oman.
Two power-generation authorities in Oman selected RSS to design, build and manage temporary power packages in four different locations in Oman: Ja'laan Bani Bu Ali Grid Station, Al Mulladah Intersection Station, Dibba and Ghundham. The 80-MVA temporary power will support Oman's power grid during the summer period when demand is high. In general, most Gulf Cooperative Countries experience seasonal power shortages during summer months where demand outstrips supply.
RSS also has deployed 24-hour technicians, operators and project engineers to ensure uninterrupted supply. And out of the 80-MVA installation, RSS delivered 68 MVA at 33 kV, which only a few rental companies can currently provide.
The RSS Power Projects Division has been serving the requirements of utility companies, governments and large industrial companies in the Middle East for many years. RSS rental products are built to withstand the most rugged and harsh conditions of the Gulf, where ambient temperatures can become a severe problem.
