Clare Instruments has announced the SafeCheck 8, an advanced electrical safety tester from The Seaward Group. With its advanced memory capability, the SafeCheck 8 is suitable for applications where fully traceable testing records or professionally printed test labels are desired.

The SafeCheck 8 is a bench-mounted instrument with a robust desktop enclosure. With its clear and simple user interface, operators can easily program their own test for ground bond, insulation, flash, short test, leakage, and run tests, or select from pre-programmed tests for Class I electrical equipment, Class II electrical equipment, extension cords and locking power cord tools.

Equipment and tools are automatically sequenced through the instrument’s test routine, where results are recorded and the information is presented on a large display. To eliminate potential data entry errors and speed up the test process, the SafeCheck 8 can also be used with a barcode reader to scan in ID number or pre-programmed test routines.

The unit is capable of holding 5000 test results, with flash memory storage even when power is off. Results can be downloaded to a PC for future compliance audits and detailed statistical analysis.
