PoleCare Inc. has announced an agreement with Arch Wood Protection Inc. to serve as exclusive distributor of the FireSheath coating product in the western United States and Australia.
FireSheath paste enables electric utility companies to cost effectively protect their wood pole assets from damage caused by wildfires.
“We are pleased to bring the FireSheath product to our customers and provide a proven defense strategy against damage and outages caused by fire,” said Mike Scrivener, Product Specialist at PoleCare Inc.
In the ASTM E 84 tunnel test, FireSheath qualifies as a Class A Fire Retardant. Applied in the field, FireSheath enables utilities to dramatically reduce the likelihood of costly pole destruction and large scale outages in areas subject to brush fires.
