Massachusetts Electric Company, a National Grid Co., currently has openings for Electric Distribution Operation Supervisors in both their Underground and Overhead Line Departments, in Northeastern Massachusetts. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for the daily supervision of workers ensuring maximum productivity, and adherence to all Company standards, policies and procedures. Provide direction on construction, maintenance, work practices, and daily operation of the department. Coordinate the planning and completion of new projects, maintenance activities, training programs and emergency response to power outages. Create and foster a safe work environment.

Qualifications: The successful candidate(s) must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of either overhead and/or underground electrical utility construction and possess a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in the electric utility or related field. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management a plus. These positions require the flexibility to work varying shifts, the ability to respond to off hour emergencies and to be part of a regular on-call rotation. Thorough knowledge of all work rules related to underground or overhead line construction including OSHA 1910.269 required. Must have exceptional leadership and customer service skills, be self motivated and possess sound decision making ability. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, as well as the ability to obtain DOT certification and a CDL license.
