Utilities are using increasing amounts of customer data to help meet their expectations.
Customers are getting more engaged in the process, and utilities are changing their systems and mindsets to adapt, according to Karen Lefkowitz, Vice President of Business Transformation at Pepco Holdings.
She says customers are just some of the new entrants into the marketplace. One of Pepco's new initiatives as a result of this is an increased involvement in data analytics to drive new business models and meet customer needs.
