Russell P. Schussler

Russ Schussler retired as Vice President of System Planning for Georgia Transmission Corporation.  In this position, Mr. Schussler was responsible for providing for the reliable, timely and economic expansion of the bulk and load serving transmission systems.  Mr. Schussler has over 30 years of utility experience.   Before joining GTC, he oversaw transmission planning, generation planning and load forecasting at Alabama Electric Cooperative and prior to that worked in the areas of regulatory affairs, contracts, and transmission studies for the Los Angles Department of Water and Power.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University as well as a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.  Mr. Schussler is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Alabama.
