Lineman Invents New Product to Increase Safety in the Trade
Sept. 14, 2022
Racheting Wheel Tools has redesigned the lineman's insulated hex wrench.
Lineman George Fussell designed a new product to solve everyday problems for fellow linemen. Oftentimes, linemen find themselves working in the field in tight spaces with thick gloves.
The new patented Racheting Wheel, however, allows the linemen to stop the lug from spinning back and forth during the initial tightening stages. By offering a larger surface area for linemen to hold and ratchet, the product allows for quicker, safer and easier work.
Features include an extended forward/reverse lever, which makes it easier to select the direction while wearing thick gloves. The contoured comfort grip dielectric handle and white non-conductive hex cap were designed with linemen's gloves in mind.
The tool is available in several different configurations:
3/16, 5/16, 3/8 Hex x 1 5/8 in. standard usable length
Ratcheting or fixed penta socket
9/16 or 5/8 sockets
Single or dual ratchets
