The crews will join more than 50,000 lineworkers across the country in the restoration effort following Hurricane Milton.
As the Gulf Coast recovers in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, Southern California Edison (SCE) crews are on their way to assist with repairs and restoration efforts in Florida.
The morning of Oct. 11, SCE utility workers departed from California and are traveling to Florida to help. The utility has made 240 workers available to assist, including lineworkers, journeymen and groundmen. Currently 71 are making the cross-country journey to Florida.
These crews will join more than 50,000 utility workers from across the country. They will help repair electric infrastructure and restore service to affected Floridians as quickly and as safely as possible.
