In the wake of Hurricane Helene, Duke Energy's workforce of more than 8,000 strong united to restore power to customers in Florida. The lineworkers worked around the clock to restore power and repair damage in the aftermath of the Category 4 hurricane, which inflicted widespread damage across the Southeast.
Duke Energy Florida shared photos of its line crews in action during the hurricane response. To see images of lineworkers on the job, check out this photo gallery. You can learn more about the continued storm response in the areas hardest hit by the hurricane on the website.
Also, if you are a lineworker who worked on this storm response, email a voice memo to [email protected] for a special Hurricane Helene-themed episode of the Line Life Podcast this October. Describe the working conditions, damage and the work you did to help during the restoration. We look forward to hearing from you.
