Are prosumers real?

Power industry analysts believe that prosumers are the next big challenge to business as usual. A prosumer is an end use customer that is energy savvy and willing to do what it takes to achieve the best possible price and attributes for his/her power needs.  He may be a residential, commercial or industrial customer that meets his/her energy needs by smart purchases, self-generation or some combination.
