Kiran Kumar

Kiran Kumar is a director of Systems and Data science at LG Energy Solutions Vertech (LGES-Vertech) and he has 26+ years of experience in diverse domains - battery energy storage, direct drive wind turbine and power conversion, and automotive engine controls.  At LGES-Vertech, Kiran manages systems software engineering efforts and AI/ML-based data science and analytics efforts to provide safe, highly available, and energy-optimized grid-tied BESS solutions. In his career, Kiran has successfully designed and led the IEC61508 safety certification of BMS software and energy storage optimization algorithms, and has led design of predictive analytics algorithms to identify BESS subsystem anomalies. Kiran has an M.S in Computer Science from SUNY and a B.S in Electronics & Communications from University of Mysore, India.
