The company will also upgrade more than 10 miles of existing transmission lines connecting to the substation and construct a one-mile section of new line.
The line helps to maintain reliable service as it provides another route of energy delivery to Lahaina as well as Puukolii, Mahinahina, Napili, Kaanapali, and Kapalua.
