Summary

Join us for an insightful webinar where we dive into the pressing issue of extreme weather events and their impact on the utility industry. Our panel, moderated by industry veteran Andy Stewart, President at EDM International, will feature discussions on the challenges and responses to grid resilience from a utility perspective, with insights from Joel Hornbeck, Sr. Engineer Distribution Planning and Asset Management, National Grid.
Discover four practical steps towards enhancing resiliency in the face of extreme weather events and learn how utilities are adapting through grid modernization and hardening initiatives.

Our expert panel will explore:

  1. The critical importance of capturing existing distribution circuit "As Built" for evaluating overhead design considerations in grid hardening initiatives.
  2. Strategies for planning and managing the increased loading of communication cables on distribution grid designs, especially in light of rapid rural broadband expansion.
  3. Advanced tools and methodologies to analyze distribution pole loading capacity, including during extreme weather events.
  4. Practical approaches to identifying and addressing NESC violations

Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights from leading industry experts on navigating the complexities of extreme weather, optimizing overhead infrastructure management, and building a more resilient electric grid for the future. Whether you're a utility professional, engineer, or industry stakeholder, this webinar will provide actionable strategies to enhance your grid's resilience.
