Clearion Team Shifts to Working at Home to Provide Software Support
March 24, 2020
The company continues to serve the utility vegetation management industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the team at Clearion has made a rapid transition to 100% work-from-home. Clearion supports thousands of utility vegetation management professionals across North America (and beyond) with software used in daily UVM operations.
As for most people and businesses, this is a unique experience for the software company, which has been in the UVM industry for more than 13 years. Clearion is using Zoom and Slack for video conferencing and collaboration, including frequent “all-hands” company meetings. They also leverage a distributed secure network in conjunction with development and production servers managed within Amazon Web Services. Its software source code management and collaboration systems are also cloud-based.
Clearion Co-Founder and CEO, Chris Kelly, said yesterday, “the entire team here has transitioned very well to full-time remote working. All of the systems we need for this were already in place, so the only change is social. We’re making up for the absence of in-person time with more video conferencing. The Clearion team is honored and energized to support this essential group of professionals in our industry. We recognize how important it is for our customers to continue their work to provide a safe, comfortable, and productive environment for people and businesses in this challenging time.”
