Mission Power has chosen the SmartGridCIS Express solution to support its AMS prepay business in Texas. Mission wants a robust, stand-alone platform that enables prepaid services in accordance with PUCT Rule 25.498.

Mission Power, which will be marketing its smart meter prepaid service under the label "Mission Power Express," has a vision to be the leading provider of prepaid electricity services in the Hispanic market, and it sees SmartGridCIS as a solution that will enable this success.

One of multiple deployment options offered by SmartGridCIS, the Express package is a stand-alone billing and CIS solution that provides prepaid services and time-of-use (TOU) rating capabilities. “Our intent with SmartGridCIS Express is to enable quick integration to the Smart Meter Texas Portal through a rapidly deployable platform, at a very attractive price point,” states John Bastian, president for SmartGridCIS.
